Her father Krishnaraj is a senior Army scientist and died in March of 2017. The mother Vrinda was a housewife. Aditya she is an engineer working in the merchant navy and her brother is employed by her. His brother wrote and produced Dil Ka Rishta, along with his mother. Arya Vidya Mandir School was the high school she attended located in Mumbai following her move there together with the family. She was married to Abhishek Bachchan, co-star, who is the child of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan. This marriage has brought two of India's most prominent personalities to one another.
