Mary McDonnell

 

Mary Eileen McDonnell, born April 28th 1952 was an American actress who appears on stage, TV, and film. McDonnell was nominated in the Academy Award for her roles in Dances with Wolves as Stands With A Finger and Passion Fish as May-Alice Culhane. McDonnell is best known for her role as First Lady Marilyn Whitmore in Independence Day and President Laura Roslin on Battlestar Galactica. She was in the role of Captain Sharon Raydor during seasons 5-7 of the TNT series The Closer and starred as Captain Sharon Raydor in the spin-off series Major Crimes on the same network.

Alison Doody has been an Irish actor and model since 11 November 1996. Her debut in a feature film was a tiny part in her debut role in the Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985).
