Rena Sofer
Rena Sherel Sofer (born on the 2nd of December in 1968) is an American actress, known for her role in the daytime network, in episodic guest appearances, as well as made-for-television films. Sofer has been awarded the Daytime Emmy Award 1995 for her portrayal as Lois Cerullo of the soap show General Hospital. From 2013 to 2022 she played Quinn Fuller on the CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful.
Childhood and early life
Sofer was born in Arcadia, California, the daughter of Susan Sofer (nee Franzblau), a psychology professor, and Martin Sofer, an Orthodox Rabbi.
In 1970, Sofer moved to Teaneck, New Jersey with her brother David and father. However, when Sofer was five years old, she was living in Western Pennsylvania. Their family lived in Ambridge Pennsylvania where their father was the director of the Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She attended the Frisch School, a coeducational Modern Orthodox Jewish highschool in Paramus (New Jersey). Sofer was born in North Bergen, New Jersey. Her father was rabbi of Temple Beth El. She graduated from North Bergen High School, after which she attended classes at Montclair State College.
Career
Daytime television
Lois Marie Cerullo was the first Lois Marie Cerullo that Sofer performed with on General Hospital. The first time she appeared on the show was in 1993 as a manager for the band. She first appeared in the role of Rocky McKenzie in the 1988-91 daytime soap series Loving.
