Allyson Felix
Allyson Michael Felix was an Los Angeles native born on November 18th, 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a teacher of primary schools in Balboa Magnet. Felix was an athletically inclined child and found her passion for sprinting in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in only 10 weeks following the first time she tried out. In 2003, Felix graduated from high school having signed a professional contract with the sports company Adidas before enrolling at the University of Southern California where she completed her elementary education. One year later Felix won the first Olympic medal during the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece making an all-time junior world record taking 200 metres in 22.18 seconds. The youngest participant in the 200-meter race during the World Championships in Helsinki in the year 2005. She won her medal once again in 2007, beating her the long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix competed at her first Olympics during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo regularly placing in the top three in all her events.
