Allyson Felix
Allyson Michael Felix was a Los Angeles native born on the 18th November 1985. Paul Felix, her father, was an ordained pastor at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix was aware that she had a talent for running when attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. After a few weeks of the first time she tried out the sport, she finished second in 200m at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003, Felix was a senior in high school and signed a professional deal with the athletics company Adidas and then enrolled at the University of Southern California where she completed her elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics that took place in Athens Greece. She broke a Junior World Record by running 200 metres in 22.18 second. At the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the world's youngest champion for the 200m. In 2007, she defended her title by beating Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed in the top 3 in her various competitions at the Olympics that took place at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
